Franklin Towne Charter High School Renovation
Completed
February 2009
OmniVest completed the 58,000 square foot renovation of Franklin Towne Charter
High School – Building 9. This included administrative offices; an auditorium
which will seat 340 people; math, language arts, and science laboratory floors; a black box
theater; a multi-purpose room; and a theater room. Plans have just been approved
for OmniVest to begin construction of the new Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School in
September 2009.

November 4, 2006, Philadelphia ... On Wednesday, November 1, The City of
Philadelphia Zoning Board granted Imhotep Institute Charter High School a variance to
commence construction on their new 80,000 square foot high school facility located in
the east Germantown section of Philadelphia. This will be the first
charter school in Philadelphia's history to build a brand new school
facility. It will be located at 6201 N. 21st Street in Philadelphia,
conveniently situated right across the street from its existing school originated in
1999.
Christine Wiggins, Founder and CEO of Imhotep Institute Charter High School
stated, "Our new school will be designed to give the students of Philadelphia a world
class education and will be a model for all Charter Schools throughout the
country." Ms. Wiggins added, "We are extremely proud of our accomplishments
in that 100% of our graduating class continues to post secondary studies and we are
committed to a continued exemplary track record."
Construction is slated to begin prior to the year's end and will be
completed and ready in the Fall of 2007. The new building will be a 2 story
modern school designed to house Imhotep's 525 + students in grades 9th through 12th
with 32 hi-tech classrooms, a regulation gymnasium to support their championship
basketball team, full service cafeteria, library, wood and auto shops, culinary arts
room, music and multi-media room, community room and staff lounge, and security and
administrative offices.
OmniVest Properties, LLC, located in Newtown, PA and who specializes in the
development of educational facilities throughout the US, is working with Imhotep as the
developer providing financial services, architectural design and construction of the
new school building. B. Robin Eglin, President of OmniVest Properties says,
